Laser Hair Removal
Aftercare Guide
Good aftercare is what turns a good laser treatment into a great result. This guide covers exactly what to do — and avoid — after any of our laser hair removal treatments, including Dubai-specific guidance for our climate.First 24–48 Hours
Immediately After Your Session (First 24–48 Hours).
- Apply a cool, moist cloth to the treated area if it feels warm or looks red
- Aloe vera can help soothe any inflammation
- Use lukewarm water and a gentle, non-irritating cleanser for the first 24–48 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours (sweat and friction can irritate treated skin)
- Wear loose, breathable clothing — cotton is ideal — over treated areas
Sun & Heat Care
Sun & Heat Care in Dubai's Climate.
Dubai's sun and heat make this section more important here than almost anywhere else. Treated skin is more sensitive to UV exposure, and getting this wrong can cause pigmentation changes.
- Use SPF 30 or higher on any treated area exposed to the sun — every day, not just after treatment
- Avoid direct sun during peak hours where possible
- Keep up sun protection well beyond your treatment course, not just the days right after a session
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24–48 hours after treatment
What to Avoid
What to Avoid.
- Plucking, waxing, or depilatory creams between sessions (these interfere with the treatment cycle — shaving is fine)
- Retinol and exfoliating acids on treated areas until skin has settled
- Alcohol-based skincare products on treated areas
- Makeup on freshly treated areas for the first day
- Vigorous rubbing or scrubbing when cleansing

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions.
How long does redness last after laser hair removal?
Typically a few hours to a day, though mild bumps can persist for several days in some cases.
Can I exercise after a session?
We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours, since sweat and friction can irritate treated skin.
Do I need sunscreen after treatment?
Yes — SPF 30 or higher on treated areas, and this should continue well beyond your treatment course, especially given Dubai's sun exposure.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes, shaving is fine. Avoid plucking, waxing, or depilatory creams, as these interfere with the hair growth cycle the treatment targets.
When should I contact the clinic after treatment?
If you notice blistering, significant ongoing pain, or any signs of infection, contact us — don't wait for your next scheduled session.
